I'm trying to write something similar to this style, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what exact style it is.

Any help?

It sounds like blues with the pentatonics, but blues influenced many types of music like most of Led Zeppelin's music. Oasis is more alternative. Some Jazz songs sound like blues and even have the name Blues in them, but they are still classified as Jazz. They certainly are using the blues scale, and it sounds bluesy, so I'd call it blues. If you want real unadulterated blues try John Hooker, Muddy Waters,B.B King, and maybe SRV.

sounds like classic blues rock with a whole lot of bebop elements.

The boundries between blues and jazz brush closely often. League, something that's classified jazz that sounds bluesy is probably both... so you're right in calling blues aswell.

Lol, I didn't check out the video 'till just. As blackholesun said... they're classed as britpop. They're heavily influenced by classic rock and blues rock though and brush up, in terms of style, with many recent indie bands.

Definitely blues influenced stuff though, even if it's further away than one direct link.

I'm note even sure why they're classified as brit-pop. They sound nothing like the brit-pop bands.

oasis is one of the 90's era britpop bands more so i guess.

but that song has a definite blues base. not so much the vocals, but the rest of it.

Oasis, along with Pulp and Blur are pretty much the definition of britpop.

I agree wih Blackholesun, even if the bands do sound quite a bi different. I think Oasis just have a bit more blues rock/classic rock influence.

Meh, pulp was alright. Still, Oasis sounded so different from them.
