I remember trying out an electric guitar amplifier in which it had two switches: power and standby. I was told to flip one of the toggles and wait for a couple of minutes before playing. Anyway, there was a sound that was admitted but I wonder if I correctly initiated the standby switch in the right order. I heard to flip the power on, wait for a minutes or two THEN flip the standby on. When you turn off the amplifier flip standby to off position then turn off power switch. On the contrary I've heard to flip the standby on, THEN turn on the power switch. Which is correct?
