Hey fellas, I'd really appreciate some insight. I'm currently sick! Congested and all that good stuff. My question is, should I still practice my vocals while sick? It's kind of tough since it's hard to breathe and hit any high notes. Thanks for the help. |

Let me answer this question with a question, would you practice guitar with a strained wrist?
Not sure if the logic passes over but I'd save it till you got better, and by the sounds of it the practice wouldn't be very productive. Maybe find a different thing to practice instead. Or just lie in bed and watch cartoons you are ill after all... |

Yeah I'd still play guitar. I get what you're saying, but do you know if singing while being sick be regressive? |

Well I just did a quick google and most of it said if you really have to sing don't talk for hours before and have things like honey it soothes the throat however the general consensus is don't if you don't have to. |

It's not a god idea man, you'll get better - so it's worth waiting. You shouldn't strain your voice any more than you have to. (When you're sick TALKING is enough to strain it.) So I don't recommend any singing. |
