This is the thread in which you can post what CD's/LP's/(Cassette tapes?) that you have got recently. Maybe post a short review of what it's about? recommend it to anyone who likes that kind of music? I'd be interested to see what other people are buying.
I recently purchased a few cd's on Amazon, and am now waiting for their arrival.
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Nick Drake - Bryter Layter
Tom Waits - Heartattack and the Vine

Nick Drake is great. Neil Halstead is another of my favorites from right next to him on my Ipod. Try "Sleeping on Roads" by Neil Halstead if you don't know it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3o42QpTvWSg

Blonde Redhead
Betty Davis: Whoa..incredible 70's soul funk!
The Cult
The Heavy

Red Hot Chili Peppers - "By The Way"
Rage Against The Machine - "Live at Grand Olympic Auditorium"
Rise Against - "The Sufferer and the Witness"
Rammstein - All 6 CDS and and the 2 live DVDs
Papa Roach - "Time For Annaihilation" and "Metamorphosis"

Papa Roach is the only band I own an album Of, that the band name doesn't start with an R.

Ermmm... 'Step one' - Steps XD :$

'Bad things' - Jace Everett

'Country Mountain Tributes: The Eagles' - Craig Duncan

'Curtains' - John Frusciante

'A different kind of pain' - Cold

'Apalachian Journey' - Yo-Yo Ma

Greatest Hits of Huey Lewis and the News.

And a 'Best of Sting' Album.

Tbh, I'm a bad person. I rarely actually buy albums now - I've even been listening to a lot of those above online on a free (legal) service called Spotify for a pretty long time. I've listened to most those albums for a while and randomly decided I'd have a spree and actually buy that music the other day. I feel bad about not purchaseing more albums for the artists but at the same time - I'd be one skint person if I bought every album I love.

Oh dear...

I have been pleastantly suprised by some of the music in the UK charts where a few (not many) genuinly talented singers have popped up (Adele for example) which i happen to have to listen all day at my new work.

I think newest band for me would be My Morning Jacket which has the singer from Monsters of Folk in. Fantastic band so i really recommend them.

I recently bought Foreigner's Foreigner and Double Vision(fantastic albums) and I would tell you guys about Overkill's Years of Decay--but it's in Nebraska, and I'm in Arizona... I will never buy from the UK again... they said 3 weeks--it took 6!

if you're buying fugazi, go to dischord's homepage and be sure to pick up "the argument". probably one of my favorite albums of all time.

seriously though i need to stop lending my favorite albums to bartenders, i never see them again... the first one was muse's "absolution" but that was to a dude and he straight up lost it. not a romantically complicated situation. but the fugazi one want to a bartender who was female who i had a thing with and it ended and.... dammit! at least i still have it saved as .mp3...
