hello i have been playing for quite a while but never been interested in learning a lot of music theory, i have got a irregular pattern if anyone could advise me what the key is i would appreciate it very much. i have looked at my trasposition chart and cant figure out what key it is
e 3 3 3 3
b 3 3 3 3
g 2 0 0 0
d 2 2 2 0
a 0 2 3 2

The progression is vague, and could be used in multiple formats. Looks like a CM/Am or GM/Em could be used. In the end it'll depend on what kind of sound you are looking to fit in with your rhythm and style. Sometimes it's fun to write a basic format in multiple progressions, then you'll have multiple songs designed from the same concept. I hope that helps. |

acutally i already know the names of the chord but dont see what key they would fall in to, it is a up beat acoustic piece |

If it's upbeat. Then it'd either be in the key of C or G. 0 sharps for C. If you include F# in your piece, then it'd be in the key of G. Have a second guitarist/bassist solo in either of those two keys, and see which one you feel sounds better. |
