What's a good website for tab, or is it better to buy?

it's unfortunate, but UG is pretty much the ONLY guitar tab database. and it's unfortunate because it's one of the most god awful websites when it comes to advertisements and the interface is such a pain to use...

I use tabs as a place to start when my ear struggles. It's like having someone help you out to find out what sounds right. I, however, have never played a song exactly as the tab writes it out to be... or even in the same key as that tab.

Don't trust all of it. Trust your ears.

alfred.com you have to pay for it, but in my experience, it is the only way to get proper tabs.

Carl's right - learn to read music... Tab can only get you so far and it limits you as a musician...

If you have an iPad, Tabtoolkit is the best guitar learning software money can buy. You can choose to look at music notation or tab or both.

If anyone is interested in this let me know and I can answer questions.
