Ok, guys I'm kinda serious about this one, though the choices may not seem like it.

I've been paying more attention to how I pick and noticed that my fingers kind of hang off there sometimes get in the way other times hit the guitar body and almost keep a beat. I've decided to try and fix that and have really worked on keeping a nice closed fist.

So I was wondering how y'all hold your pick and play

no i didnt try to copy rhoads. its all that comes natural to me. normally, when im comfortable, i pick with my fingers like him, i guessmy fingers wobbling around. when im learning a song or playing somthing hard i kinda ball up my hand but never too tight, somtimes my figers then rest scrunched up on the pickguard, but most of the time they are futsing with the volume knobs so they are extended.

i dont thinkit really matters. as long as your comfortable.

Whats the RR thing? Fingers really spread? Well my Hand feels uncomortable when I make a fist and also when I put my fingers dead straight, so i have a kind of compromise in between. I have them slightly crunched together. So I wouldnt say my fingers are wabbling around, i still have them under tension and control, but it feels the most comfortable for me. I dont think that a fist is very comfortable way of playing in my opinion, I would try to open your hand, it gives it a more balanced feeling. And its also bad to have fingers wabbling around because they could hit strings. But its the same thing as holding the pick. Everyone does it differently, there is not only one solution for everyone, just find a way which suits you and then stick to it.

I typically pick with a closed fist, although strangely enough sometimes I also automatically find myself on some days picking witha finger flopping around. I seem to just switch my favourite positions. Not sure why that is. And lmao at that Hendrix option!

It's best if you relax your hand, really, it's best if you relax your body when you play. If you tense up it'll just allow you to make more mistakes. But not completely relaxed, at least enough to form a shape of a fist at least.

it doesn't really matter as long as your not anchored, nothing gets in the way, and like jazz stated your not overly tense

and i single note flat pick closed(unless i go hybrid which i rarely do) and strum open. so it seems any way
