There is a band that's been out for about 3 - 4 years and it's called Denderah. It's like a post grunge band so I guess they are probably inspiring people to continue playing grunge. |

I think highonbodominflames is referring to bands like The Stooges, which started punk, or a band like Green River that started grunge. It really depends on what genres are going to appear in the next few years. To be honest, I can't really see where music is going to be in 10 years time. For me, it's like every possible genre has already been created, and all that's left is to create fusions of existing genres. I can't see a scene like the grunge scene of the early 90s or the punk scene of the late 70s appearing again.
I read a book once that said there is never going to be the "next Nirvana", simply because people are looking too hard.
Ska-metal anyone? lol |

Yeah, an example of ska-metal I suppose would be Radio/Video by System Of A Down, although it could be just called polka-metal! |

@BBT,
Are you serious?
I was referring to a bunch of Christians singing stuff like Slayer or something hahaha. But I didn't know that at all.
Dude I have all of SOAD's stuff aha and the Serj Tankian but that isn't as good. Radio/Video is okay. Not the best song it sounds like it doesn't have much meaning to it. ey man looka t me I'm rockin' out on the radio (: |

blues is definitely comin back, dont worry ill make sure.. lol
these two bands are very good: los redondos (patricio rey y sus redonditos) and intoxicados, both too good but not very popular.. ill mix together latin rythms and blues or rock, but i will sound very different to santana |

Oasis, Brad Sucks, The Dave Mathews Band, etc. Honestly, any shit band can be an inspiration if the right person is listening. |

I think they wrote that song to make fun of all the radio DJ who refused to play their music when they first started. They wouldn't play them then, but when they got big, they all wanted to start playing SOAD.

Hmm, GRX you may be right.
Seems like a lot of bands are like that, when they are new people shun them, even if they are good, but then they get big and suddenly everyone, not just the radio, wants a piece of them. |

Yeah Doz, give us some names I wanna check them out and discover some new metal.
Don't name Stryper though, cause I already know of them. But that's the only metal band I know of that is Christian.
I didn't think Christians would sing about "Christ illusions" like Slayer, and fake Jesus and stuff. etc. |

Well they can't... obviously, but that doesn't stop the music from being heavy as. Type in Christian Metal at wikipedia or something for lists of bands and stuff, should be easy to find some bands. |

Yeah that's true, who said religious people can't be heavy? That's just stupid bullshit in my opinion. Of course they can be heavy.
And I will go search some when I get round to it |
