Blues is based around pentatonic, maybe not based but like 98.8% is played with pentatonic blues scale licks. here are the tabs for what you are looking for, just remember: to play in a different key simply move the boxes around.

A:

|------------------------------------------5--8------
|------------------------------------5--8------------
|---------------------------5--7--8------------------
|---------------------5--7---------------------------
|------------5--6--7---------------------------------
|------5--8------------------------------------------
* * *

|------------------------------------------3--5------
|---------------------------------3--4--5------------
|---------------------------2--5---------------------
|---------------------2--5---------------------------
|------------3--5--6---------------------------------
|------3--5------------------------------------------
* * *

|------------------------------------------0--3------
|---------------------------------1--3--4------------
|---------------------------0--2---------------------
|------------------0--1--2---------------------------
|------------0--3------------------------------------
|------0--3------------------------------------------
* *

|-----------------------------------------------8-10-11------
|----------------------------------------8-10----------------
|-------------------------------7--8--9----------------------
|------------------------7-10--------------------------------
|-----------------7-10---------------------------------------
|------8-10-11-----------------------------------------------
* *

|----------------------------------------------------10-11-12---
|--------------------------------------------10-13--------------
|--------------------------------------9-12---------------------
|-------------------------10-12-13------------------------------
|-----------------10-12-----------------------------------------
|-----10-11-12--------------------------------------------------
* *

|-------------------------------------------------10-11-12------
|---------------------------------------------13----------------
|-------------------------------------12-14---------------------
|---------------------10-12-13-14-------------------------------
|-------------10-12---------------------------------------------
|-----11-12-----------------------------------------------------
* *

|-------------------------------------------------11-12-15------
|-----------------------------------------13-15-----------------
|---------------------------------12-14-------------------------
|---------------------12-13-14----------------------------------
|-------------12-15---------------------------------------------
|-----12-15-----------------------------------------------------
* *

Just move these boxes around so your root note (indicated by * under each scale bar) is on the key you want, so if you want blues in G, move your rote note to G instead of A.

With these positions memorized for the key you are playing in, you can improvise all over the neck in that key, modulate if you want, you can change the structure, you can do anything with these scales for blues, just experiment, go up one and go down another, play a high one and a low one, just mess around, find your favorite notes and play with them, hope this helps.
